According to the ministry’s statement, the UK has joined the third package of European Union (EU) sanctions against Minsk. The sanctions list Included 29 people and seven legal entities. The restrictions involve freezing the assets of Belarusian citizens and companies.
Earlier, the European Union approved the third package of sanctions against Belarus in connection with the” ongoing repression of civil society.” The sanctions list included Deputy Prime Minister of Belarus Anatoly Sivak, head of the Belteleradiocompany Ivan Eismont, Information Minister Igor Lutsky, Chairman of the Grodno Regional Executive Committee Vladimir Karanik, Prosecutor General Andrey Shved, businessman Alexander Shakutin, judges and security officials.
