The annual Memorial Day ceremony was held in London yesterday. On this day, all the fallen soldiers who defended Great Britain are remembered. Of course, members of the royal family took part in the event. Prince Harry, who now resides in the United States, has asked Buckingham Palace to lay a wreath on his behalf during the ceremony. But he received an official refusal since now he is not a representative of the monarchy.

The Queen’s grandson and his wife had to go to the cemetery in Los Angeles. True, their act once again caused only censure, many called it a PR action.

Holding hands, Meghan and Harry walked over to the two graves of British Commonwealth soldiers and laid bouquets of white flowers that the Duchess had collected in the garden of their Santa Barbara home. Then the couple approached the memorial erected in memory of the people who gave their lives defending their country. Harry laid a wreath, the inscription on which read: “To all those who served and serve. Thank you.”
