In Latvia, a social advertisement calling for vaccination against coronavirus caused a scandal. According to the Delfi news agency, the poster shows the former Latvian national football team player Kaspars Gorkshs, who says: “I’m getting vaccinated because I want to go visit my grandparents.” In Russian, this phrase was translated as “to see my great-grandfather and great-grandmother”. The Russian-speaking population received the agitation ambiguously.

The advertising agency apologized to the residents of the country for the incorrect translation and made corrections to the posters.
