In Iran, uranium enrichment continued at the Natanz nuclear facility after an accident occurred there on Sunday, April 11. This was announced by the Vice-President of Iran and the head of the Atomic Energy Organization Ali Akbar Salehi, his words are quoted by the state TV and radio company IRIB.

“Yesterday’s incident in Natanz did not interfere with the enrichment (of uranium), the emergency power supply was turned on,” Salehi said.

He added that in the coming days, the damaged centrifuges will be replaced with more powerful ones. Thanks to this, it will be possible to enrich uranium to the level of 50% in Natanz in the “shortest possible time”.

Recall that in Iran, an accident occurred at a nuclear plant. The facility is the centerpiece of Iran’s uranium enrichment program and is monitored by IAEA inspectors.
