Biden orders purchase of 100 million more doses of Johnson & Johnson vaccine

US President Joseph Biden has instructed the Ministry of Health to purchase another 100 million doses of Johnson & Johnson’s CAVID-19 vaccine.

“Today, I am directing a team from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services to produce and purchase another 100 million doses of the Johnson & Johnson vaccine,” Biden said.

According to him, this decision is due to the fact that in the situation with COVID-19 in the United States, “a lot can change” and the country should stock up on vaccines.

Biden added that the U.S. is on track to acquire ” sufficient doses of coronavirus vaccines for every American adult by the end of May this year.”
