A helicopter crash in Sinai killed eight people

The death toll in the crash in Egypt’s South Sinai of a multinational peacekeeping force helicopter has increased to eight. This was announced by the peacekeeping mission, reports Al Arabiya TV channel. Among them are six American servicemen, a French citizen, and a Czech citizen.

The UH-60 Black Hawk helicopter was on a regular mission and crashed due to a technical malfunction. Everyone on board died.

A multinational force in the Sinai, which has no UN status, was deployed there in 1982 to oversee the implementation of the 1979 peace treaty between Egypt and Israel. They include military personnel from 12 countries, including Americans.
