The bear entered the territory of the Okadama airbase of the Japan Air Self-Defense Force in Sapporo.

It is noted that once on the territory of the base, the beast attacked one of the soldiers. After the discovery of the bear at the base, the nearby Okadama airport was closed.

According to Japanese media, earlier on Friday, the bear attacked an elderly man and woman aged 70 and 80 years, who live in Sapporo. They were taken to the hospital with injuries.
