The Pentagon will analyze the location of the US military around the world, said the new Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin.
His statement was published on the Pentagon’s website.
“The report will contain my advice to the Commander-in-Chief on how best to allocate the armed forces in accordance with the national interest,” Austin said.
At the same time, the minister added that when conducting the analysis, the Pentagon will consult with US allies and partners. The statement did not specify any specific possible changes in the distribution of American forces.
Recently, it became known that the United States is freezing the project of relocating its military in Germany.
