The European Union has achieved the previously set goal for vaccination, to date, 70% of the adult population has been vaccinated against COVID-19. This is reported in a statement by the head of the European Commission (EC) Ursula von der Leyen, published on the EC website.
“Our goal was to protect 70% of the adult population of the European Union with at least one vaccination in July. Today we have achieved this goal, “ the message reads.
Ursula von der Leyen also clarified that 57% of adults received a full dose of vaccinations against coronavirus infection.
Since July 1, a system of digital certificates of COVID status has been launched in the EU, with the help of which you can verify the fact of receiving a vaccination, a negative test for coronavirus, or that their owner has recently been ill.
