Online sales could grow to a quarter of global retail

According to the forecast of the agency GroupM, which is owned by the British advertising holding WPP, online trade by the end of 2020 will grow to $3.9 trillion. It will account for 17% of the total retail sales.

This indicator does not include food and delivery services. Agency analysts expect online sales to rise to $7 trillion by 2024, accounting for 25% of total global retail sales. According to their estimates, by 2027, the volume of goods sold via the Internet will be fixed at $10 trillion.

It is noted that advertising agencies will have to improve their activities given the fact that many brands have recently increased their advertising costs by promoting their sales online.
