An attempt to organize riots in the center of Rome was stopped by the police, ANSA reported on October 27.
It is noted that a group of unknown, allegedly members of the extreme right-wing organization “New Force” tried to organize riots in the People’s Square, but were squeezed out by the police. After that, groups of people in black-headed for the Vatican.
Citing police sources, ANSA reports that New Force leaders Roberto Fiore and Giuliano Castellino have been spotted among the rowdy.
Italian Interior Minister Luciana Lamorgese has scheduled an emergency meeting of the National Law Enforcement and Security Committee for 28 October.
