The Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade has invited the head of Tesla and SpaceX, Elon Musk, to discuss the construction of a Tesla plant in Russia. The text of the statement was published on the Ministry’s Twitter account.
“Dear Elon Musk, We were glad to know what you think about the construction of the plant in Russia. By the way, in our country there are state support measures for localized manufacturers, ” the report says.
Earlier, the founder and CEO of Tesla, Elon Musk, speaking at the Russian marathon “New Knowledge”, said that Tesla will soon appear in Russia, Kazakhstan, and other CIS countries.
In response, the governors of the Kaluga Region, the Moscow Region, and the head of the Udmurt Republic announced their intention to fight for the construction of a Tesla plant in their regions.
