Users of the social network Twitter will now be able to send a request for account verification directly through a special tool in the settings. This is reported by the company’s website.
According to the report, all users of the social network will start seeing the new verification tool right in the account settings section over the next few weeks.
“We are gradually implementing it for everyone to ensure timely processing of applications,” the company notes.
To get a verification badge, an account must meet three criteria, such as fame, authenticity, and activity. This means that it must relate to important people or communities, the information provided in the application must be reliable, and the page must have been active for the last six months and must contain a confirmed phone number or email address. In addition, it is not allowed to have data about violations of the community rules by the account in the past.
