Correctional institutions and judges were sanctioned
The US has expanded the list of sanctions against Iran. The authorities added two judges, three prisons, and a branch of the Revolutionary Court in Shiraz.
This was reported by the US Treasury Department.
Correctional institutions located in such cities as Urmia, Mashhad, and Shiraz also fell under the sanctions.
According to US Special Representative for Iran Elliot Abrams, in connection with the execution of 27-year-old fighter Navid Afkari, sanctions will soon be imposed on Iranian officials.
