Norway has postponed for the third time the transition to the final phase of lifting the quarantine — until all adults have access to the vaccine.
This was reported by NRK.
“We already have a significant vaccination coverage, but the increase in infections has accelerated again in recent weeks,” said Camilla Stoltenberg, head of the Institute of Public Health.
The so-called fourth stage of quarantine exit allows for mass gatherings of up to 500 people, up to 10,000 people outdoors, as long as the event area is divided into sectors of 500 participants each.
The move to this stage has already been postponed, first on July 5, then on July 28.
Now they call September 5 as a tentative date — the Institute believes that all adults will have time to be vaccinated by then.
Despite another postponement of the “fourth stage,” it is still planned that universities and schools will open as usual in the new academic year.
