NATO to create hotline between Greece and Turkey

The bilateral military mechanism designed to reduce the risk of military incidents or accidents in the Eastern Mediterranean

The North Atlantic Alliance will create a mechanism to resolve the conflict between Greece and Turkey in the Eastern Mediterranean. This is stated on Thursday, October 1, in a statement.

The mechanism provides for the creation of a “hot” line between Greece and Turkey, which will be used to resolve conflicts at sea and in the air.

The bilateral military mechanism is designed to reduce the risks of military incidents or accidents in the Eastern Mediterranean.

Earlier, Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis announced Greece’s intention to strengthen the equipment of its army amid aggravated relations with Turkey. According to him, we are talking about buying 18 Dassault Rafale multirole fighters from France.
