According to a new report from Morgan Stanley, a banking holding company, Apple has cut production of the iPhone 12 mini by two million to make more iPhone 12 Pros: no one takes the former, and the latter is not enough for everyone.
This is another confirmation of the previously published statistics on sales of the iPhone 12: among all devices of the mini line, it is sold the worst of all, but the rest of the smartphones occupy approximately the same shares.
The iPhone 12 Pro is also reported to have a shipping time of ten days. This exceeds the delivery time of any Apple smartphones released in the last four years. At the end of 2020, the waiting period was 22 days.
It is normal to change priorities in production. I assumed that the iPhone 12 mini would sell worse than the other twelfths since it was intended for true fans of compact smartphones. And there are few of them, almost everyone is already used to large display diagonals.
