EU and US must work together to tackle major challenges of our time, Chancellor said
German Chancellor Angela Merkel congratulated Democratic candidate Joseph Biden on winning the presidential election in the United States. According to her, Biden knows Germany and Europe well, the EU and the US “must be together to overcome the major challenges of our time.”
The head of the German government announced this on Monday, November 9, at a press conference in Berlin.
As Angela Merkel noted, “Joseph Biden will bring his many years of experience in domestic and foreign policy.”
Joe Biden is expected to be inaugurated as President of the United States on January 20, 2021.
