French President Emmanuel Macron has authorized a Paris law firm to file a complaint against the author of a poster depicting him in the image of Adolf Hitler.
This is reported by France Blue.
The author of the poster-the administrator of the network of billboards in the Department of Var Michel-Ange Flori-said that on Thursday he was called for questioning at the police station of the city of Toulon in connection with the complaint of the president.

The author of the poster is suspected of publicly insulting the French president, which can be punished with a fine of 12 thousand euros.
Earlier, the Toulon prosecutor’s office opened a case in connection with the appearance on a billboard of an image in which Macron appears in a Nazi-like uniform and with a mustache and hairstyle like Hitler.
In addition, the characteristic red armband on the sleeve depicts the abbreviation of the “Forward, Republic!” party founded by Macron, stylized under the banner of the Third Reich.
