Lithuanian Foreign Minister urges Lukashenko to leave

Lithuanian minister calls on unrecognized President of Belarus to leave his post

Lithuanian Foreign Minister Gabrielius Landsbergis called on the unrecognized President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko to resign.

The Lithuanian minister said this on .

“The Belarusian dictator Lukashenko is not satisfied with more than 400 political prisoners. Closing the borders effectively means that the whole country becomes one big prison for 10 million citizens. Go away — and leave your people! “ — wrote Gabrielius.

Recall that the Prosecutor General’s Office of the Republic of Lithuania, whose citizens were flying on the Athens — Vilnius flight of Ryanair, forcibly interrupted on May 23 by the Belarusian authorities, has launched a pre-trial investigation into the incident with the “hijacking of the plane”.
