In Austria, from March 1, you can get free quick tests for coronavirus in pharmacies for testing at home.
This is reported by “Eur News” with reference to the APA agency.
From Monday, you can take five free self-tests a month in pharmacies. The offer is valid for people over the age of 15 who have health insurance.
In addition, citizens were urged not to storm pharmacies on the first day of the campaign. About three million tests will be available for 600,000 people in the first week, the Chamber of Pharmacists said on Monday.
“This tranche will double next week,” explained Johann Baumgartner, a spokesman for the Chamber of Pharmacists. Delivery of the tests began over the weekend, and the vast majority of the 14,000 pharmacies were provided with them by Sunday.
The campaign is not intended for children under the age of 15; they have the opportunity to participate in regular free self-tests as part of school attendance.
