Google introduced two new smartphones with 5G support

Google introduced the flagship smartphone Pixel 5 and more budget model Pixel 4a 5g. Other innovations include a “smart” speaker and a new operating system for TVs.

Google held a presentation of Live Night In, which showed the main novelties. The company presented two new smartphones — Pixel 5 and Pixel 4a 5g.

The body of the smartphone Pixel 5 is made of recycled aluminum. It is equipped with a processor Snapdragon 765G and a six-inch OLED-screen with glass Gorilla Glass 6. The smartphone has 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of built-in memory, It runs on a battery of 4080 mAh. Preorders for Pixel 5 are already accepted, sales will start on October 15. Google Pixel 5 is available in the U.S. at $699.

More budget smartphone Pixel 4a 5g will cost in the U.S. $499. The smartphone received a 6.2-inch OLED display (the original Pixel 4a had a 5.8-inch screen). The smartphone will have the same processor as the more expensive version — 8-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G, the same built-in memory (128 GB), but it will have less RAM (6 GB) and battery capacity (3885 m-H).

Also in the presentation, Google showed a new “smart” speaker Nest Audio worth $99 and a new version of Chromecast media player.

A digital novelty of the presentation was the new operating system for Google TVs. It will replace the Android TV operating system, as well as mobile applications Google Play Movies, and TV.
