European gas price skyrockets since the beginning of the year

The cost of blue fuel at the Dutch hub increased by $10 in just a day

Spot gas prices in Europe on September 29 exceeded $150 per thousand cubic meters. As a result, the average price for September reached its maximum since the beginning of the year — $137 per thousand cubic meters.

This was reported by Prime agency, based on data from the Dutch exchange TTF.

Analysts note that the jump in prices by almost $10 compared with the previous day contributed to the cooling in Europe.

The minimum price for gas at the European hub was fixed in May — about $55 per thousand cubic meters.
