French figure skater, European champion Morgan Cipres has announced the end of his career. It is reported on the official website of the French Federation of Ice Sports.
Together with Cipres Vanessa James, who performed in pairs skating with him, left the sport. The reasons why the sportsmen made this decision are not specified.
On December 10, 2019 Cipres was accused of harassing a 13-year-old girl. According to USA Today, in December 2017, the French sent a minor skater two intimate photos. The girl trained with Cipres at one rink in the U.S. state of Florida, while he was preparing for the Olympic Games in 2018. As a result, the athlete escaped punishment.
33-year-old James and 29-year-old Cipres paired in 2010. In addition to the gold of the European Championship-2019, in their asset victory in the final of the Grand Prix and third place in the World Cup in 2018.
