The European Union plans to introduce vaccination certificates against coronavirus. This document will differ from the vaccination passport.
European Commissioner for Health Stella Kyriakides stated this in an interview with Augsburger Allgemeine.
According to her, the document will be medical and contain all the data related to vaccination.
“It will not only allow for a differentiated review no matter where it happens later. It will also give us an idea of the development of the virus, as well as possible side effects. This is a medical document,” said Kyriakides.
At the same time, the document will not provide any privileges, such as the ability to travel freely.
As previously reported, the UK has no plans to introduce COVID passports. If necessary, British doctors will issue a certificate of vaccination.
