The World Health Organization’s Emergency Committee (WHO) does not support the idea of launching vaccination passports and opposes the introduction of compulsory vaccination for international travel.
This was reported by the WHO press office.
“Given that the impact of vaccines on reducing transmission is not yet known and the availability of vaccines is currently too limited, the committee recommended that countries not require proof of vaccination from arriving travelers,” it said.
WHO also urged countries to apply coordinated measures to ensure safe travel.
