At the same time, the crew clarified the sources of information several times.

The department of the Belarusian Ministry of Transport also claims that the head of flights of the Minsk regional Air Traffic Control Center tried several times to call the representative office of Ryanair in Lithuania, but to no avail. The ministry added that all materials will be sent to international aviation organizations and the heads of aviation administrations of European countries.

On May 23, a Ryanair plane en route from Athens to Vilnius made an emergency landing in Minsk after reports of mining activity. Roman Protasevich, the creator of the NEXTA Telegram channel, who was on board, was detained.
