A new eruption of Mount Etna was recorded in Sicily

Italian volcanologists told about the new eruption of Mount Etna in Sicily. This was reported by ANSA.

The National Institute of Geophysics and Volcanology recorded a natural phenomenon at 16.10 local time.

Scientists noted that the eruption took place from a crater located on the southeastern slope. They added that lava flows and ash emissions were visible near the volcano.

At the end of January 2021, the National Institute of Geophysics and Volcanology in Catania announced the awakened Mount Etna.

Etna is the largest active volcano in Europe. He is constantly under the supervision of scientists.
