Director-General of the World Health Organization (WHO) Tedros Adanom Gebreyesus gave a forecast of the growth of morbidity of coronavirus in the world.
As he noted at a briefing in Geneva, the number of people infected with the coronavirus could exceed 300 million early next year if the current rate of infection cannot be halted.
“At the current trajectory (of the virus), we could pass the 300 million known cases level early next year,” Gebreyesus said.
