WhatsApp clarified the date of “disconnection” of users who did not accept the new rules

WhatsApp has specified during what period it will begin to disable calls and messages from users who do not agree with the new messenger privacy policy. This is reported by Business Insider with reference to a representative of the company.

The source explained that users who decide not to accept the new terms of the agreement will lose access to their chat lists for two weeks after May 15. According to him, the shutdown will not be one-time, the timing will vary.

Earlier it was reported that until May 15, users of the messenger will be able to ignore the new privacy rules, but later WhatsApp will take on those who refuse to accept them. After that, the messenger will restrict the functions of viewing and sending messages from the app. In addition, after 120 days, the messenger can delete the account of a user who has not accepted the new rules.

WhatsApp has updated the user agreement, making it a clause on the transfer of personal data to Facebook, which has caused criticism from users of the messenger.
