Polish Deputy Foreign Minister Marcin Przydacz said that Russia “does not respect the principles of the civilized world” because of the refusal to return the wreckage of the plane crashed in 2010 by President Lech Kaczynski. This is reported by wPolsce.
“Russia is not fulfilling its responsibilities. It does not respond to appeals of the international community,” he said.
Earlier, a court in Poland began to consider the case of arrest in absentia of Russian air traffic controllers who were on duty at Smolensk airport on the day of the crash of the plane of Polish President Lech Kaczynski in 2010.
According to Przydzic, now the dialogue between Moscow and Warsaw is possible only at a low level, and for Poland, Russia is a “big challenge.” He noted that Poland intends to “influence” Russia with the help of the European Union.
The General Prosecutor’s Office of the country applied to the court for the provisional arrest of Pavel Plusnin, Viktor Ryzhenko, and Nikolai Krasnokutski. It is noted that the applications will be considered separately for each of the Russians.
