Typhoon hit Vietnam: dozens of missing persons

Typhoon Molave hit central Vietnam, knocking down trees and ripping off roofs from houses, causing the worst damage in years. This was announced on Wednesday, October 28, by the Al Jazeera TV channel.

According to the authorities, at least two people were killed and 26 were missing in the disaster.

At the same time, about 375 thousand people were previously evacuated to safe places, hundreds of transport flights were canceled in the country, airports, schools, and beaches were closed until further notice.

The typhoon hit the coast of Vietnam south of Da Nang, the wind was blowing at a speed of 90 m / s. “This is one of the worst destruction ever seen in many regions,” said Nguyen Thi Xuan Thu, president of the Vietnamese Red Cross Society.

As previously reported, in Vietnam, the number of deaths as a result of the flood has increased to 105, another 27 people are reported missing.
