Two people have died in Estonia after being vaccinated against COVID-19

In Estonia, two cases of death were officially registered after vaccination against a new type of coronavirus, said the head of the Estonian Bureau of Safety Supervision of the Department of Medicines, Maya Ursula. Her words are quoted by Delfi.

So, after vaccination against COVID-19, a 31-year-old man developed a thrombotic syndrome, which led to the death of the patient. In addition, an elderly woman after vaccination felt ill and fainted, having received a fatal injury in the fall.

Ursula considered the incident a coincidence but recommended that those who were vaccinated should consult a doctor in case of side effects after vaccination, for example, a multi-day headache.

“The disease is much worse than the vaccine. Elderly people are at a very high risk of being seriously affected by this disease<…> The vaccine allows for a faster return to normal life,” the head of the regulator concluded.
