Turkey to tighten lockdown

from May 7, due to the situation with the COVID-19, will tighten the lockdown, according to the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the country.

“Since May 7, it is allowed to sell in stores, including in chain supermarkets, only basic food, hygiene products, animal feed, and cosmetics (except perfumes and makeup products),” the agency notes.

The country prohibits, in particular, the sale of alcohol, electronics, toys, office supplies, and clothing.

According to the current restrictions, residents of from April 29 to May 17 should not leave the house, except for certain exceptions, such as the purchase of basic products and emergency medical care.
