Trump on the first debate: I won easily

Earlier, the media released the results of a poll, according to which Biden performed better in the first round of the pre-election debate.

US President Donald Trump said he won the first election debate and therefore does not see the need to change the format of the next meeting with presidential candidate Joe Biden. On Thursday, October 1, the head of the White House wrote about this on Twitter.

“Why would I let the Presidential Television Debate Commission change the rules for the second and third debates if I won easily the last time?” the American leader asked.

At the same time, White House press secretary Kaylee McEnany said at a briefing on the same day that Trump would participate in the second round of debates, despite the changes made.

“As for changing the rules, the President clearly stated yesterday that the only way to have a fair debate is to change the moderator. He wants to have a debate, plans to participate, but he wants fair rules, fair exchange, and not that the rules cover a specific candidate and his abilities “- said McEnanie.

Recall that the first round of Trump’s election debate with Biden took place on September 29 in Cleveland, Ohio. The second is scheduled for October 15 in Miami Florida, and the third is for October 22 in Nashville, Tennessee.

According to a poll released by the media, Biden performed better than the incumbent in the first debate.
