Trump nominates Amy Connie Barrett to serve on the U.S. Supreme Court

US President on Saturday announced his decision to nominate for the position of Justice of the United States Supreme Court Judge of the Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals Amy Connie Barrett, known for her conservative views. The ceremony took place in the Rose Garden of the White House.

At the very beginning of the ceremony, the American leader went to the audience, accompanied by Barrett, after which he announced his choice. “Today I am honored to nominate Judge Amy Connie Barrett,” Trump said, noting that he hopes for a swift procedure for considering and approving a new member of the highest court in the US Senate.

Barrett is a judge in the US Court of Appeals for the 7th Circuit, which adjudicates cases involving the states of Wisconsin, Illinois, and Indiana. She is known for her conservative views, in particular, she opposes abortion. According to Bloomberg, the White House believes that Barrett’s nomination for the position of Supreme Court justice will help Trump gain support from voters in several states, which are among the most important in terms of the outcome of the presidential in the country. They are scheduled for November 3rd.
