At the Russian Embassy in Prague, there was a clash between the participants of the anti-Russian rally and their opponents, according to “Czech Television”.
Representatives of the civil initiative “Million Moments for Democracy” came to the rally with anti-Russian slogans and banners. They supported the decision of the Czech authorities to expel Russian diplomats. Later, the embassy was approached by a group opposed to the actions of Prague. After that, a fight broke out. As a result, one participant of the skirmish was detained.
Earlier, the embassy gates were doused with ketchup. The police detained seven people. An administrative case was opened against them.
On the eve of the Czech Prime Minister Andrei Babich said that the authorities suspect the Russian special services of involvement in the explosion at the ammunition depot in Vrbetice in 2014. Foreign Minister Jan Gamacek announced the expulsion of 18 Russian diplomats: they must leave within 48 hours.
