More than 20 workers were in the building at the time of the fire. The fire rapidly spread to the entire factory.
At least 15 workers died in a chemical plant fire in the city of Karachi, Pakistan. It was reported by Aljazeera on Friday, August 27.
Rescue services said the factory is located in a densely populated area — at least 15 bodies have been recovered from under the rubble of a partially destroyed building, but the search continues.
In all, there were more than 20 workers in the building when the flammable substance burst into flames. Consequently, the fire rapidly spread throughout the building.
Police will now investigate the fire and find out if the plant had the equipment needed to extinguish the fire.
Recall that earlier in China there was a fire in a skyscraper. The fire broke out in an apartment on the 19th floor and then spread to neighboring rooms. The fire is extinguished by 30 fire engines and more than 100 personnel.
