The UN has calculated the number of people who died of hunger in 2020. This was announced by the Executive Director of the UN World Food Program David Beasley, reports Reuters on Tuesday, October 13.
In 2020, at least seven million people died of hunger. Beasley stressed that to combat the UN problem, it will be necessary to raise $6.8 billion in the next six months.
Earlier in Oslo, the Nobel Peace Prize laureate was named. The Peace Prize was awarded this year to the UN Food Program for Fighting Hunger.
