Participants in an underground rave party, which the police could not disperse for more than 24 hours in a row, began to disperse home; already 1,200 people were fined for violating quarantine restrictions.

Recall that the party gathered on the evening of December 31 in a large hangar in the city of Lyon, which in the Brittany region — despite the ban on mass events and the curfew — and became one of the top news on New Year’s Eve. The number of participants was estimated at 2.5 thousand people. A significant number of them came from other regions of the country and from abroad. Europe 1, citing the words of individual party participants, reports that the participants included guests from Italy, Spain, Belgium, and the UK.
The first attempt by the police to disperse the meeting ended in failure — the youths repulsed the attack and set one of the gendarmes’ cars on fire, the police called for help.
On the evening of January 1, the party was still in progress and according to the plan was to last until Saturday evening. The media cited the comments of the participants that they are ready to pay a fine (135 euros) but want to relax as they see fit.
The police decided not to resort to harsh measures so as not to provoke an uncontrolled movement of the crowd, which could endanger the lives of hundreds of people.
According to BFMTV, on the morning of January 2, the acoustic system had already been dismantled in the hangar, and hundreds of party participants went home or are preparing to do it.
