The President of Argentina, Alberto Fernandez, fell ill with COVID-19. He is currently in isolation and awaiting the final result of a PCR test.
He announced this on his Twitter page.
“I took a test to detect the antigen, which turned out to be positive,” Fernandez wrote.
He noted that he had a slight fever and a slight headache. Due to poor health, he did a quick test for the coronavirus and it turned out to be positive. At the same time, the president is also awaiting the results of a PCR test from the laboratory.
“Although we are awaiting confirmation with a PCR test, I am already isolated, following current protocols, and following the instructions of my personal physician,” Fernandez added.
According to the Buenos Aires Times, on January 21, the President of Argentina was vaccinated against coronavirus with the Sputnik V vaccine produced by the Russian Gamalea laboratory.
