The outbreak of coronavirus in the European Parliament: hundreds of MPs fell ill

The President of the European Parliament David Sassoli announced the outbreak of  infection that occurred in the main legislative body of the European Union.

“Hundreds of COVID cases have been identified in the European Parliament in recent weeks,” Sassoli said at a plenary session of the EP on 11 November.

It is noted that after the European Parliament partially stopped its work due to the  crisis, MEPs began to receive complaints about the lack of a daily salary, which they received for their work in the amount of 323 euros.
