Residents of France were advised to keep quiet and not use mobile phones while traveling on public transport to reduce the risk of the spread of coronavirus. The corresponding recommendations are posted on the website of the French Academy of Medicine.
The text notes that bans on the use of a mobile phone and talking must be added to the requirement to wear a medical mask in transport. In addition, the academy experts did not agree with the words of the head of the country’s Ministry of Health, Olivier Veran, who had previously called for wearing only surgical masks. According to doctors, this call has no scientific basis.
Earlier, residents of German Bavaria were required to wear FFP2 respirators instead of masks. This decision was made against the backdrop of the spread of a new mutation of the coronavirus. An exception was made only for bus drivers and children under 15 years old.
