The European Union has extended sanctions against Russia

The European Union has extended economic sanctions against Russia until January 31, 2022. This was told by a European source.

“Yes, the sanctions have been extended,” he said.

According to him, this decision was reached by the leaders of European countries at the summit, which was held on June 24-25.

The EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Josep Borrel, called on the EU countries to respond to the “vaccine diplomacy” that Russia and China are allegedly resorting to.

Prior to that, Barrel said that he and the European Commission, at the request of the European Council, will work on new sanctions against Russia in the coming months.
