The summit of the leaders of the 27 countries of the European Union and the United States will be held on June 15 in Brussels.
This is stated in the EU statement issued following the talks between the Secretary-General of the European Union’s Foreign Policy Service, Stefano Sannino, and the US Deputy Secretary of State, Wendy Sherman.
“On May 26, the Secretary-General of the European External Action Service, Stefano Sannino, and the US Deputy Secretary of State, Wendy Sherman, met in Brussels to reaffirm the strong EU-US partnership on key foreign policy and security issues. They welcomed the upcoming EU — US summit on June 15 as an important step in revitalizing the transatlantic partnership.”
Earlier, German Chancellor Angela Merkel praised the relations between Europe and the United States.
