The Eiffel Tower has opened to visitors after an eight-month break. The first people wishing to climb to the observation deck of the structure gathered at its foot at least an hour before the opening.
About 70 thousand people have already booked tickets to visit the monument.
The Eiffel Tower plans to receive 10-13 thousand people daily, which is 2 times less than at normal times. The restrictions were imposed due to the coronavirus pandemic. Half of the tickets were purchased by the French, 35% — tourists from other EU countries, 15% — Americans.
