The Egyptian authorities will pay for the expenses of tourists who have fallen ill with coronavirus

The Minister of Tourism and Antiquities of Egypt, Khaled al-Anani, said that the authorities agreed with the hotels to pay the expenses of tourists in case of their disease.

“If the case of the disease is mild, then the tourist stays at the hotel. We have concluded an agreement with the hotels that they will pay for the expenses of tourists during their stay in Egypt,” he said.

In case of a severe case of coronavirus, the Egyptian authorities will cover all the costs of treating a foreign citizen in public hospitals in Sharm el-Sheikh, Hurghada, or Cairo.
