The head of the Czech police, Jan Schweitzer, said that a criminal case was opened against him about the leak of secret information concerning the situation around the explosion in Vrbetice.
The Schweitzer assured that he spoke on this topic only at closed meetings.
According to the material published by Seznam Zpravy, First Deputy Prime Minister and Interior Minister Jan Gamacek, going to visit Russia, allegedly agreed that Prague would not report the incident in Vrbetice in exchange for holding a possible Russia — US summit in the Czech capital, as well as on the supply of the Sputnik V vaccine.
Deputies of the Czech parliament in connection with this publication told the Cabinet to deal with the leak of classified information. Gamacek threatened to sue the authors of the discrediting material, but the authors expressed their willingness to present evidence.
