The supersized container ship Ever Given, which ran aground and blocked the traffic of ships in the Suez Canal, was successfully moved out of the way.
It was reported by the Israeli newspaper The Jerusalem Post.
“The container ship managed to move in the Suez Canal, attempts are being made to permanently remove it from the shoal,” the report said.
Thus, the U.S. Navy is ready to send help if Cairo asks for it. Every hour the Suez Canal is out-of-order costs $400 million.
Earlier we wrote that shipping experts believe that if traffic in the canal is not restored in the next few days, shipping companies will be forced to reroute ships around the canal, which will add about a week to the overall route.
