Apple Watch can’t do that. Garmin smartwatches have acquired an unprecedented skill

New Pregnancy Monitor Available on Most Garmin Models

Garmin today introduced a feature for its smartwatches that is not available directly from competitors. This is a new pregnancy monitoring function. It has become available in most Garmin smartwatches.

As Garmin promises, this feature was designed by women for women. With the Garmin Connect app and compatible Garmin watches, you can track your pregnancy, track your baby’s movements, record symptoms, create customizable reminders, and get weekly insights and tips on nutrition, weight gain, and exercise.

Garmin competes with the likes of Apple, Samsung, and Fitbit in the wearable electronics market, but none of these brands offer a “built-in” pregnancy monitoring solution. However, there are third-party solutions for this, like HiMommy or PregLife.

The Pregnancy Tracking Connect IQ app on your watch will allow you to view data on pregnancy progress, baby’s movements, blood sugar levels. In addition, the Contraction Timer Connect IQ app enables expectant mothers and birth attendants to track the duration and frequency of contractions with a watch.

The pregnancy tracking feature is activated in the Garmin Connect app with the menstrual tracking feature, making it easy to switch from keeping track of your menstrual cycle to tracking your current pregnancy.

Compatible Garmin watches — D2 Air, f? Nix 6/5/5 Plus / Chronos series, Forerunner 245/245 Music, Forerunner 645/645 Music, Forerunner 745, 935, 945, MARQ series, Venu series…

China launched the “world’s first 6G satellite”

So far, even 6G specifications simply do not exist

When it comes to 6G networks, they often talk only about the beginning of development or that such networks will appear in 10 years.

But according to the source, China will already launch the world’s first 6G satellite into orbit. At least that’s what they call him.

Of course, there can be no talk of any full-fledged technology at least later, that there are no specifications yet. The satellite itself is intended to test some areas of future technology, including, probably, the use of the terahertz frequency range.

PlayStation 5 reports sad news about its overheating

Sales of the next-generation PlayStation 5 game console will start very soon, some users will receive consoles already on November 12, and demonstration stands with PS5 have appeared in stores.

Sources confirm that some major US retail stores have installed Sony PlayStation 5 demo stands. Users have already tried the console in operation, and some even managed to capture the moment when the PlayStation 5 overheated and issued a corresponding message.

Your PlayStation 5 is too hot. Unplug your console and wait for the temperature to drop.

According to one of the versions, the problem was caused by the fact that the set-top box was placed in a tiny enclosed space behind the glass, where hot air is likely to accumulate.

To dissipate heat, the Sony PlayStation 5 is equipped with a 120mm fan, which is responsible for cooling both sides of the console. How effective such a system is, we will learn from the first customer reviews next week.

Previously, one of the insiders was able to measure the temperature of the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series S, and Xbox Series X. According to him, at peak load, the PlayStation 5 heats up to 65 C, this is the worst result among the three consoles.

The secret of flashes of light in the night sky revealed

Scientists at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill have uncovered the mystery of the origin of flares of light in the night sky, which is very similar to stars in astronomical images. It turned out that this phenomenon is associated with the growing mass of satellites and debris in near-earth orbit. This is reported in an article published in The Astrophysical Journal Letters.

According to new data, orbital flares occur about a thousand times per hour, with about a hundred visible to the naked eye away from city lighting. In astronomical research, reflected light from satellites can lead to false signals when looking for new phenomena in the sky. Studying outbreaks will help make observations more accurate.

For six months, scientists have recorded more than 100 thousand outbreaks. They were observed with the Evryscopes telescopes in California and Chile. The flares are generated by reflected light from non-operational spacecraft, as well as debris, including non-operational satellites, paint fragments, nuts, and bolts. To a ground observer, flares can be indistinguishable from “visual snow”, which looks like stationary eye noise.

In some cases, satellites can cause streaking in photographs, which is a separate class of events that needs to be studied.
